Netflix has set The Gentlemen Season 2 release date for September 3, 2026. The announcement arrived with the first teaser and a collection of new images showing that Eddie Horniman and Susie Glass are taking their increasingly ambitious criminal operation beyond England.
The second season will contain eight episodes and will continue the story one year after Eddie and Susie became partners in Bobby Glass’s organization. Italy is now part of their territory, but expansion brings new rivals, unstable alliances and questions about who should really control the business.

Eddie and Susie expand their operation into Italy
Netflix’s official logline places the story one year after Eddie and Susie joined forces inside Bobby Glass’s criminal empire. They are now trying to expand the enterprise overseas, but Bobby’s decisions have become increasingly unpredictable.
That instability leaves Eddie and Susie with a serious choice. They can intervene and challenge the existing balance of power, or they can allow Bobby’s behavior to place the entire organization at risk.

Remaining unnoticed will be difficult. Eddie encounters Marco Moretti, played by Sergio Castellitto, an influential and dangerous Italian crime figure. Michele Morrone plays Cico Maldini, a fixer hired to help Eddie and Susie understand the local criminal landscape. Netflix has already warned that Cico may not be someone they can safely trust.
The returning cast of The Gentlemen Season 2
Theo James returns as Eddie Horniman, the aristocrat who initially wanted to remove his family from the criminal business but gradually discovered that he had a talent for it. Kaya Scodelario is back as Susie Glass, the experienced operator who became Eddie’s most important partner and occasional rival.
Daniel Ings returns as Eddie’s chaotic brother Freddy, while Ray Winstone reprises his role as Bobby Glass. Joely Richardson, Vinnie Jones, Jasmine Blackborow, Michael Vu, Harry Goodwins, Ruby Sear, Pearce Quigley and Giancarlo Esposito are also confirmed to return.

Several character identities have already been confirmed. Bonneville plays Lord Hawthorne, Porcaroli plays Bella, Mallassi appears as Amir and Jama plays Aisha. Castellitto and Morrone portray Marco Moretti and Cico Maldini respectively.
Netflix has not provided full character descriptions for every newcomer. Claims about undisclosed roles should therefore be treated as speculation until the streamer releases additional information.
Guy Ritchie and Matthew Read return behind the scenes
Guy Ritchie is returning as a director, co-writer and executive producer. Matthew Read is once again working with him as co-writer and executive producer, while Eran Creevy is also directing episodes.
The series is produced by Moonage Pictures, part of ITV Studios, and Miramax Television for Netflix. Laura Jackson and Max Keene serve as producers. The executive-producing team also includes Will Gould, Frith Tiplady, Simon Crawford Collins and Ivan Atkinson.
Ritchie has described the new season as an intentional expansion in both geography and theme. Moving from English country estates to the Italian lakes gives the series a broader criminal environment while preserving its mixture of inherited wealth, polished appearances and violent business disputes.
The show remains inspired by Ritchie’s film of the same name, but the television series follows its own characters and storyline rather than continuing the film’s plot directly.

The teaser’s most important confirmation is that Eddie no longer appears interested in escaping the underworld. His ambition has become one of the central forces driving the story, and the new Italian operation offers him an opportunity to seek greater money, influence and legitimacy.
