Storage Wars is still going strong more than fifteen years after its A&E debut. The network is airing Season 18 in 2026, with several familiar buyers and auctioneers continuing to compete over abandoned storage units.

Brandi Passante, Dave Hester, Ivy Calvin, and Dan and Laura Dotson remain connected to the current series. Jarrod Schulz and Barry Weiss are no longer regular participants, while longtime buyer Darrell Sheets died in April 2026.

Storage Wars cast: where are they now in 2026?

Storage Wars premiered in December 2010 and quickly turned storage-unit auctions into a successful reality television format. Buyers are allowed to look into an unpaid storage unit from the doorway before deciding how much they are prepared to bid on everything inside.

A&E currently lists eighteen seasons of Storage Wars. New Season 18 episodes began airing in May 2026, with Brandi Passante, Dave Hester, Ivy Calvin, Kenny Crossley, Rene and Casey Nezhoda, Lisa Delarios, and Dusty Riach among the returning buyers.

Brandi Passante remains one of the show’s main buyers

Brandi and Jarrod separated in 2018, although viewers did not learn about the split until the show returned for Season 13. They attended auctions separately during that season, and Brandi continued with the series after Jarrod stopped appearing.

Brandi is still a regular member of the current cast. In an official A&E interview, she explained that she closed her brick-and-mortar stores years ago because the overhead, employees, filming schedule, and family responsibilities became too difficult to manage at the same time.

She now sells most of her auction finds online. She also keeps merchandise in her own storage unit and occasionally sells items at swap meets.

Her bidding strategy has changed with experience. Instead of feeling that she must win something at every auction, she now waits for units that appear more likely to produce a reasonable return.

Jarrod Schulz left after Season 13

Jarrod Schulz has not been a regular part of Storage Wars since Season 13 in 2021. His departure followed the end of his relationship with Brandi, but A&E has never issued a detailed public explanation for why he did not return.

In May 2021, Schulz was charged with misdemeanor domestic violence following an alleged incident involving Passante at a bar. He denied pushing her. Reliable reporting available for this update does not establish the final court outcome.

The legal case is often described online as the reason Jarrod left the show, but that connection has never been officially confirmed by A&E. It should therefore not be presented as a proven fact.

There is currently no official announcement that Schulz will return for a future season.

Darrell Sheets died in April 2026

Darrell Sheets was one of the original and most recognizable buyers. Nicknamed “The Gambler,” he became known for taking major financial risks in the hope of uncovering one unusually valuable locker.

Sheets appeared frequently with his son Brandon and remained associated with the show through its first fifteen seasons. After stepping away, he settled in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, where he operated an antiques and collectibles business called Havasu Show Me Your Junk.

Sheets died on April 22, 2026, at the age of 67. The Mohave County Medical Examiner’s Office later ruled his death a suicide. A&E released a statement describing him as a beloved member of the Storage Wars family and offered condolences to his relatives and loved ones.

Police also examined allegations that Sheets had been subjected to serious online harassment before his death. Those allegations remain important to the investigation, but reliable evidence has not established cyberbullying as the sole cause of his death.

Barry Weiss recovered from a serious motorcycle accident

Barry Weiss was one of the show’s most unconventional personalities. Unlike several other buyers, he was already an established collector and did not depend entirely on storage auctions for his income.

Barry left the regular cast after Season 4. He later explained that he wanted to leave while the series was still popular. His departure led to the short-lived spin-off Barry’d Treasure.

In April 2019, Weiss was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident in California. He suffered major chest and leg injuries, underwent several operations, and reportedly spent about two months in the hospital.

He eventually recovered well enough to return to Storage Wars for Seasons 14 and 15. However, he did not join the main Season 16 lineup and is not listed among A&E’s returning Season 18 buyers.

No official new return has been announced. Barry appears to have returned to a more private life centered on collecting, vehicles, and personal interests away from regular television production.

Dave Hester returned after major health problems

Dave Hester has had one of the most complicated histories with the series. His aggressive bidding and loud “YUUUP!” made him an effective television rival, but he has left and returned more than once.

His earliest departure followed a legal dispute with A&E. Hester alleged that valuable items had been placed in storage units to make the show more dramatic. A&E denied that the auctions were staged, and the dispute eventually ended in a confidential settlement.

His later absence had a different cause. Hester suffered a hemorrhagic stroke in November 2018 and spent time in intensive care and rehabilitation. His recovery kept him away from Seasons 13 through 15.

Hester returned during Season 16 in 2025 and remains part of the current series. A&E’s Season 18 episode listings confirm that he is again bidding on storage lockers and competing with the other veteran buyers.

Ivy Calvin is still the King of Palmdale

Ivy Calvin joined the series after its original launch but became one of its longest-serving regular buyers. A&E continues to describe him as the “King of Palmdale,” a reference to the California city where he built his resale business.

Ivy remains part of the Season 18 cast and sometimes appears with his sons. His official biography continues to connect him with Grandma’s Attic, the resale store where he has traditionally sold merchandise discovered at auctions.

His background in competitive sports and mixed martial arts helped establish his direct, no-nonsense television personality. Unlike several original participants, Ivy has remained consistently involved without a widely reported long-term departure.

Dan and Laura Dotson are still running auctions

Dan and Laura Dotson have been part of Storage Wars since the beginning. Dan usually serves as the lead auctioneer, while Laura registers bidders, manages payments, and sometimes takes over the auction call herself.

They remain active on the television series and continue working together through American Auctioneers. Their company organizes storage, estate, vehicle, business, and liquidation auctions throughout California.

The company’s active auction calendar confirms that their work extends far beyond the auctions filmed for A&E. Dan and Laura remain married, continue to operate the business together, and are still among the most stable members of the show’s long-running cast.
