Creep 3 Set To Become A Netflix Original As Patrick Brice And Mark Duplass Return

After years of speculation and near silence, Creep 3 is finally moving forward and all signs point to Netflix as its future home. The long awaited continuation of Patrick Brice and Mark Duplasscult horror franchise appears to be shaping up as a Netflix original film, bringing the unsettling series to a close.

The original Creep debuted in 2014 as a stripped down found footage thriller written by Brice and Duplass, with Brice directing and both starring. Shot on a micro budget, the film followed a young videographer hired for a single day to record farewell messages for a terminally ill man living in a remote location. What begins as an awkward job quickly spirals into psychological terror as the man’s erratic behavior raises disturbing questions about his true intentions.

The success of the first film led to Creep 2 in 2017, which leaned further into the franchise’s self awareness while preserving its deeply uncomfortable tone. The sequel once again centered on a videographer, this time meeting a man who openly claims to be a serial killer. The film expanded the mythology while reinforcing the unpredictable nature of Duplass’ now iconic character.

Although Shudder later released The Creep Tapes, a series inspired by the films, fans continued to call for a proper third movie. For years, Creep 3 seemed trapped in development limbo, with little concrete progress despite repeated interest from both creators.

That changed in October 2025, when Mark Duplass publicly confirmed that a third film would happen. He emphasized that the team wanted to take their time to ensure the finale lived up to the unsettling quality of the first two entries and did not disappoint long time fans.

Now, momentum appears to be building. Creep 3 has begun appearing in Netflix search listings, strongly suggesting the streamer has acquired the project. While Netflix has not yet officially confirmed the film, the listing points toward the movie being developed as a Netflix original.

Both Creep and Creep 2 are currently available to stream on Netflix, making the platform a natural home for the final chapter. If confirmed, Creep 3 would give the franchise a full circle ending under the same roof where many new viewers discovered it.

We have reached out to Netflix for comment and will update once more details are available. In the meantime, Creep 3 can already be found on Netflix, allowing fans to add it to their watch lists ahead of its eventual release.
